Fall River Police Department investigating shooting after property damage discovered
Fall River Police are investigating a weekend shooting after property damage was discovered.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Sunday at approximately 12:15 p.m., units responded to the 100 block of Baker Street after a resident discovered damage to their vehicle. It appeared as though the vehicle had been struck by a projectile.
Upon further investigation, officers were advised that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, residents heard what they believed may have been a shooting. The police were not contacted regarding the sound of potential gunfire at that time.
While on scene, officers located evidence of the suspected shooting. The Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene.
The Major Crimes Division is handling the investigation.

I’m applaud Mayor Coogan just reassured us the ” streets were safer ” because Grandma turned in her dead husband’s old hunting rifle at a gunbuyback. How can this happen? I’m confused.
