Fall River Police have charged a man in a stabbing in Fall River Sunday.

According to Detective John Robinson, on July 8th at approximately 6:00 p.m., Fall River Police Department Uniform Division Officers were dispatched to ‘Tent City’ on Brayton Avenue in regards to a possible stabbing. Upon his arrival, Officer Brandon Pacheco located witnesses who informed him that three men were fishing when they decided to collect some wood for a campfire. When they took wood from the ‘Tent City’ area, a 33-year-old tent city resident became angry and confronted the three fishermen and told them to leave the area.

The 33-year-old male threw an ax in the direction of the fishermen. This started a fight. During the fight, the 33-year-old male was stabbed in the chest and a 30-year-old male was bitten by a dog. The 33-year-old male was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of his ‘non-life threatening’ injury.

Allen Weeks, 32, turned himself into the FRPD on Thursday Afternoon July 12th. He was charged with Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon.

Fall River Police wanted to thank the public in helping make him aware.

After the got caught not fishing and getting firewood but stealing clothing, wood, and cigarettes from the homeless. Then started cutting tents when confronted. How dare you write false information.
