Fall River Police capture suspect after multiple shots fired calls
One individual is in custody following multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Pine Street early this afternoon.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 12:54 p.m., The Department received several calls reporting shots fired in and around the area of Pine Street. Witnesses were able to provide investigators with a description of the vehicle believed to be responsible for all the reported shots fired.
Officers were able to locate that vehicle at a residence on Summerfield Street. With the
assistance of the Uniform Division, Special Operations Division, Gang Unit, and Major
Crimes Division the Emergency Services Unit the subject, Jeffrey Santos, 48, was taken
into custody without incident.
Several Fall River schools experienced a shelter in place this afternoon due to the police activity.
The investigation is being handled by the Major Crimes Division.
