Fall River man arrested for robbing woman at gunpoint in Corky Row
At 2:20pm on Monday afternoon, an unnamed woman in the Corky Row section of the city flagged down a Fall River Police officer and told him that a man had just robber her at gunpoint.
Moments later the officer was able to find a suspect that fit the description walking just a few blocks away on Morgan Street. Once the suspect spotted the police officer he immediately fled down Whipple Street when the officer observed the suspect drop an object.
Once the man reached Second and Marble Street he gave up his escape and was placed in custody. When the officer returned to the site where the object was dropped, he and the object turned out to be a 9mm pistol with a bullet in the chamber.
As a result, 40-year old Adolfo Gonzalez was charged with armed robbery, possession/carrying a large capacity firearm, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition with an FID card, and resisting arrest.
