Fall River Police and Atlantis Charter School celebrate Thumbs Up Thursday
On Thursday, Atlantis Charter School and the Fall River Police Department teamed up for a Thumbs Up Thursday.
The event was held in lieu of Atlantis’ annual High Five Friday events.
The purpose of Thumbs Up Thursday is to build trusting relationships between students and the Fall River PD by promoting positive interactions within the Atlantis community.
3rd Grade Special Education teacher Alison Sheedy and School Resource Officer Scott Cabral organized the event.
Officer Cabral was joined by Sgt. Kevin Medeiros, Officer Brandon Pacheco, Officer Sarah Reis, and Officer Martin Pena.
The school wanted to express their appreciation for the officers’ efforts.
“They were so enthusiastic, giving thumbs up and wishing them good days and happy ends of the year. The kids were all very excited to see them and share a thumbs up!”
