Fall River pastors holding Pastor Story Hour at library in response to Drag Queen Story Time
A Fall River pastor has a response to the monthly Drag Queen Story Time events taking place each month in the city.
Manny Silva, pastor of Evangelical Christian Fellowship on Cherry Street, will be holding a Pastor Story Hour at the Fall River Public Library on North Main Street this weekend.
Silva says that he organized the event with Pastor Michael Johnson in response to Drag Queen Story Hour that had been happening at the library for the past several months.
“Children are a blessing from the Lord! And when we see how society is trying to redefine such basic things as what is a male or female; when society is trying it’s best to indoctrinate our youngest and most innocent with ungodly ideas, then Christians cannot just stand by and complain. We must do more, and that is to get God’s message out to these children that God loves them, and that He made each of them unique, precious, and exactly as they were. They were created to love Him, obey Him, and serve Him.”
On February 25th, Silva and Johnson will be reading Christian children’s books “Jesus and My Gender” and “The King and the Dragon.
Silva states that the first book discusses “God’s design for our bodies and our gender. Children will learn about how God designed and created them beautifully. The second book will tell a story of a King and a dragon that presents the Gospel message.”
The stories are reportedly geared towards 3-11 years of age, but all ages are welcome.
Both story hours begin at 11:00 a.m.

Proselytizing for Jesus in government buildings is illegal. Books for and about gay kids is not.

Neither of the things you mentioned are illegal. I don’t believe the public library is the proper forum for either event, but I could care less either way, I’m not going to shame anyone for their beliefs and choices…I leave that to the petty insecure folks. What one person/group chooses to believe has no bearing on me personally or how I raise my children. We all need to stay in our lanes and respect one another. Different does not mean wrong, contrary to what most people think nowadays.

False, discussing Jesus in public buildings is not ‘illegal’ Also, the public library is not the place for mentally ill men dressed as women seeking sexual titillation from sexually acting out in front of small children. Take your demonic occult drag show to a nightclub or to your grandmother’s house.

I thought you were supposed to love all? You’re pretty hateful and shitty for a religious Bible humper.

Nope, not a Constitutional violation. Since the speech is the Pastors’ and not the library’s there is no violation of the Establishment clause.

I agree, this is clearly a violation of church and state.

Do you know how many pastors and priests have recently been charged with sexual assault on children AND disabled people? Now that would be who I wouldn’t want mu kids to be around!
