Fall River passes 2,600 COVID-19 cases Thursday

Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Thursday’s report.

According to the mayor’s office, 2,632 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 42 case increase since Wednesday’s report.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River continues to remain at 136.

Friday saw an increase of 31 cases of the coronavirus. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday combined for 113 cases. 41 additional cases were revealed on Tuesday. Wednesday saw 54 cases of COVID-19.

Mayor Coogan, in a press conference Tuesday, revealed the reasons for the City’s increase in cases and updated residents on the current red status.

Today, the Fall River Board of Health issued Halloween guidance which suggests avoiding trick-or-treating.
