Fall River passes 13,500 cases, hits 360 deaths; vaccines available to all residents as early as today
Fall River saw more cases of COVID-19 announced on Thursday in the City of Fall River’s weekly report.
According to the Mayor’s Office, 13,512 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 181 case increase reported since last Thursday.
The 181 cases is a decrease from the 209 cases reported the previous week. 269 was reported the week before.
The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.
Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 increased to 360 as 3 new deaths have been reported since April 8th. 3 deaths were also reported last week.
A mobile vaccine clinic also began today in Fall River.
According to the Mayor’s Office, these spots are open to all Fall River residents. Individuals are asked to register for an appointment, but walk-ups are allowed.
As of 4:30pm on 4/15, there were still approximately 80 open spots for today’s FEMA Clinic at the Maplewood Senior Center on Tucker Street.
Tomorrow’s clinic still has over 200 open appointments.
