Fall River, New Bedford, North Attleboro students among those vying for Miss Massachusetts’ Teen at Durfee High School

Fall River, Mass. – The 24th annual Miss Massachusetts’ Teen Pageant is Sunday, June 16, at 5:00 PM at BMC Durfee High School in Fall River. 

The pageant features Emma Gibney of New Bedford, Miss Massachusetts’ Teen 2023 and 17 beautiful, intelligent and talented teenagers from across the Commonwealth. They will compete for scholarship money and the opportunity to represent Massachusetts at the Miss America’s Teen Pageant in Orlando, Fla. in January 2025.  The show will feature performances by Gibney, who will perform a HerStory™, the contestants, as well as the Spotlight Dance Studio of Taunton dancers. Pageant producer and choreographer Amanda Narciso Ponte was Miss Massachusetts 2013 and competed at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, NJ.  This is her tenth year producing the pageant. Several former Miss Massachusetts’ Teen state titleholders will be special guest hosts at the pageant and will be joined with visiting State teen and Miss titleholders from across New England.  Miss Massachusetts 2022 Katrina Kincade will be the pageant emcee. 

The pageant is the official state preliminary for the Miss America’s Teen program.  The mission of the Miss America Opportunity’s Teen Program is to promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens. The competition is open to young ladies 13-18 years of age, and they will be judged on personal interview, talent, evening wear, onstage conversation and lifestyle and fitness.  

VIP tickets for $50 and General Admission tickets for $30 are available online through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2024-miss-massachusetts-teen-state-competition-tickets-900799324027 until 6/15. On Sunday, in-person General Admission tickets will be $40 by cash or check only.
