Fall River Mayor Coogan to hold press conference to announce over 1.5 million dollars for renters facing eviction
Mayor Coogan and representatives of the Fall River Community Development Agency, Catholic Social Services, Coalition for Social Justice, South Coastal Counties Legal Services and the Fall River Housing Authority will hold a press conference on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the Fall River Room, 6th Floor of Government Center to announce a partnership to provide homeless prevention services with the revocation of the federal eviction moratorium, according to a statement.
The moratorium is set to expire on July 31st.
According to the announcement, the Coogan Administration has committed over 1.5 million dollars of Federal CDBG CARES Act funding to pay rental arrearages for renters facing eviction.

i thought that was the 3oo dollars a week was supposed to do. what about the landlords that were not getting there money to pay there mortgage or additional damages some of these people were doing when we could not get rid of them
