A Fall River man has won a $1 million dollar prize according to Massachusetts State Lottery.
A Fall River man has won a $1 million dollar prize according to Massachusetts State Lottery.
Claudio Costa of Fall River is the twenty-second $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game.
Costa chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings). He plans on investing part of his winnings for his retirement and payoff his daughter’s tuition.
Costa purchased his winning ticket at Jay’s Wine & Spirit, 340 Rhode Island Avenue in Fall River. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
Four $2 million prizes and eight $1 million prizes are still available in the $10 “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game.
