Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced that a 48-year-old Fall River man pled guilty to Armed and Masked Robbery in the Fall River Superior Court.
Edwin Reyes was sentenced by the Honorable William White to serve a State Prison sentence of 7 to 10 years.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kalene Kobza.
On April 17, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Fall River Police Officers were dispatched to the SRTA bus station for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, police located the male victim, who was at the bus station awaiting bus transportation. The victim indicated to police that he was approached by a masked man with a knife who demanded money from him. This male jabbed the victim with the knife, which placed him in fear causing the victim to give $20 to the male. The man, who the victim described to police, fled on a bicycle. The victim was unable to identify the suspect from a photo array due to him being masked. Police were able to locate surveillance video which captured the robbery and clearly depicted the suspect involved. Later in the day, police encountered Reyes who fit the description of the suspect and was wearing the same clothing while riding a children’s bicycle.
Once taken into custody, Reyes was found to possess two pocketknives and $50 in cash. The defendant has prior convictions for Armed and Masked Robbery and had previously served State Prison time.
“This is a habitual criminal who continues to commit violent crimes. He needs to be kept off the street,” District Attorney Tom Quinn said.
