How come when these people are killed, we always hear about how they were “turning their lives around”?

Maybe he would be alive if he were at work or home with his children and not sitting in a car in a high-crime area. Maybe instead of wasting money on face tattoos, he should have enrolled in college or trade school.

Another wasted live. Very sad, but not surprising.

Actually, we do have an ‘idea’ or concept of who Mr. Pires was. We know him by the ‘fruit’ of his life.
Mr Pires CHOSE to be a drug-dealing gang member as if growing up in Bristol County is the same as being born into the slums of Port au Prince (Haiti for all you recent Durfee Graduates).
Mr Pires kept making poor choices from the first poor choice he ever made and became a burden on the Community, himself, whatever family he had and certainly on the offspring he created.
He became a Hoodrat and died like a Hoodrat. Sad but True .. and a cautionary tale to all the other Hoodrats who just as Mr Pires chose to do … will not follow society’s rules and make themselves their own God.
