Fall River man killed in motorcycle crash being remembered as nice family man with big heart
A Fall River man has been killed in a motorcycle crash that took place on Friday.
According to Dighton Police and Fire, at 8:06 p.m., Dighton Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Elm Streets for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, first responders determined that the crash, which involved a vehicle and two motorcycles, had resulted in a fatality.
An individual driving one of the motorcycles died as a result of their injuries, and an occupant in the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. A second motorcyclist refused transport.
Christopher Raposo of Fall River was the motorcycle rider killed.
As the death of Raposo began to spread, condolences poured in from the many who knew him. Raposo has been described by friends and family as a nice and genuine guy with a big heart.
According to Chris’ daughter Brianna, “he was a wild soul who thought he had endless lives. He was friendly with everyone and just wanted to be accepted.”
“He loved everyone so much and just wanted to do what he loves. He loved his family so much and adored his wife (daughters Brianna and Caylah and wife Natalie). He loved being home and going fishing with his friends and family. He also loved riding his bike and pushing his limits. He always had a smile on his face and put a brave face on even when things were rough.”
Raposo also suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash in March of this year.
Judging by the outpouring of love that the family has received, Chris certainly accomplished his goal of being accepted.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dighton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
