Fall River man killed in Monday morning crash
Rhode Island State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash, which occurred on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick this morning.
According to RISP, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash on Route 95 south, north of Route 117 in the City of Warwick. Upon arrival at the crash scene, troopers observed a multi-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a 2002 Toyota Corolla. The operator of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene and is identified as Patrick Albin, 54, of Fall River. He was the driver and only occupant of the Toyota Corolla.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Toyota Corolla was stopped in the breakdown lane at the time of the collision and was rear-ended by the tractor trailer. The operator of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing by Troopers from the Wickford Barracks, State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, and members from the State Police Forensic Services Unit.
