The family of a man who fell in the water in East Providence this month is looking to the public to help find him.

Dennis Lonardo Jr. of Fall River says that his 61-year-old father, Dennis Lonardo Sr., fell off the docks at the East Providence Yacht Club Marina on March 3 and hasn’t been seen since.

Lonardo Sr’s family has retained the law office of Karns & Kerrison concerning the incident.

“Attorney Kerrison hopes for a swift recovery so that Mr. Lonardo’s family can achieve some measure of closure during this extremely difficult time but, in the meantime, is aggressively investigating the circumstances of Mr. Lonardo’s fall and all potentially responsible parties.”

Through the attorney, the family issued the following statement.

“We would like to acknowledge the search teams and divers from East Providence, Providence, Cranston, Warren, Barrington and the State Police as well as the many volunteers, including the members of the Rhode Island Drone Meetup, for their continued efforts in such difficult conditions to find our father.”

“Dennis “Mousey” Lonardo, Sr. was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and, while we know what the ultimate conclusion will be, we would ask that whoever is able, will continue to aid us in our search, so that we can bring him home and bring closure to our family.”
