Fall River man hits $1 million prize, tenth winner in instant lottery game
The Fall River area has another $1 million dollar winner.
According to Massachusetts State Lottery, Rui Ferreira of Fall River is the tenth $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Big Money” instant game.
Ferreira chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings). He plans on using part of his winnings to purchase a home.
His winning ticket was purchased at Fernando’s Place, 92 Alden Street in Fall River. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
There are three $10,000,000 prizes and five $1 million additional prizes still available in the “$10,000,000 Big Money” $20 instant game.
