Fall River man held without bail on drug trafficking charges
A 49-year-old Fall River man, who has been indicted for Trafficking Heroin over 36 grams in the City of Fall River, was held without bail as a danger out of the Fall River Superior Court, Bristol County District Attoney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.
It is alleged that Vincent Carr’s motor vehicle was the subject of a search warrant when his motor vehicle was stopped by the Fall River Police on February 16, 2018. Officers discovered 422 bags of heroin, $703.00 in US currency and a cell phone that was seized from the vehicle and on the Defendant’s person. Officers subsequently learned of a safe through conversations with the Defendant. Officers searched the safe, after securing an additional search warrant, and seized over $25,000.00 in cash, multiple bags of clonazepam and lorazepam, 2,218 bags of heroin and the title to the defendant’s motor vehicle.
Assistant District Attorney Daniel Walsh petitioned the Fall River Superior Court at the defendant’s arraignment to hold with him without bail as a danger. After hearing, Judge Raffi Yessayan ordered the defendant held without bail indicating that no terms of release could ensure the safety of the public.
“This defendant has a history of drug dealing and was wanted in Rhode Island for an outstanding charge of bribing a public official at the time of his arrest,” District Attorney Quinn said. “The accusations of drug dealing establish that this defendant is a danger to the community and I am pleased that the court agreed and held him without bail.”
