Fall River man held without bail in Superior Court on several drug trafficking charges after arrest by Fall River Police
A local man faced a judge in Fall River Superior Court on Wednesday.
According to police, on March 31st, just before midnight, C.A.S.T. detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing multiple traffic violations in the Corky Row neighborhood extending onto Plymouth Avenue.
During the stop, detectives observed furtive movements from a rear passenger, 43-year-old Joshua Mazzilli. Due to safety concerns, Mazzilli was removed from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the area within his immediate reach resulted in the discovery of a magnetic box containing large quantities of suspected narcotics.

Seized substances included approximately:
• 115 grams of fentanyl
• 115 grams of cocaine
• 26 grams of methamphetamine pills
• Smaller amounts of ketamine, Suboxone films, and prescription pills
Joshua Mazzilli was placed under arrest and charged with:
• Trafficking Heroin/Opium/Morphine (100 grams or more)
• Trafficking Cocaine (100 grams or more)
• Trafficking Methamphetamine (18 grams or more)
• Possession of a Class A Drug (Subsequent Offense)
• Possession of a Class E Drug (Subsequent Offense)
• Possession of a Class B Drug
According to court records, at arraignment in Fall River District Court, Mazzilli pled not guilty and was held without bail.
On June 4th, he was indicted in Fall River Superior Court on Trafficking Cocaine (100 grams to 200 grams), Trafficking Heroin/Opium/Morphine (100 grams to 200 grams), and Trafficking Methamphetamine (18 grams to 36 grams).
On Wednesday, Mazzilli pled not guilty and was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for July 28th.
