A Fall River man is facing several charges after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle into a police car.

According to court records, 49-year-old William Fellows has been charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Eluding Law Enforcement in High Speed Pursuit, Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, and Resisting Arrest.

At arraignment, Fellows did not enter a plea in District Court and was issued bail at $10,000 surety which court records show he has not posted as of Friday.

According to NRI NOW, police located a stolen 2005 Mercedes with New Hampshire plates and tried to stop the vehicle on Park Avenue in Woonsocket, but Fellows did not pull over. He reportedly led police on a chase at speeds up to 100 mph through a construction zone that sent orange barrels across the road. Fellows is also accused of driving on someone’s lawn before eventually losing control and crashing into a police cruiser on Iron Mine Hill Road in North Smithfield.

Fellows is facing charges in both Woonsocket and North Smithfield.

Both departments were involved in the pursuit.

Fellows next court appearance on the matter is set for June.
