Fall River man arrested on multiple drug and gun charges, after drugs, loaded guns, over $60k seized

Fall River Police arrested a city man on multiple charges concerning drugs and guns.

According to Captain Daniel Dube, on November 13, Detective Joshua Robillard and other members of the FRPD Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at 220 Johnson Street apartment #56C. Upon entry into the apartment, the target of the search warrant, 25-year-old Jeriane Roman, was secured. A search of Roman revealed $2001.00 in cash and 38 oxycodone pills.

Detectives conducted a search of the apartment and it yielded multiple items. In the kitchen, Detective Edmond Desmarais located a zip lock bag which contained approximately 252 grams of suspected cocaine. Also found was a smaller bag containing approximately 1.9 grams of suspected cocaine, a bag of white powder (cutting agent), 4 boxes of sandwich bags, two digital scales and a box of baking soda. Items known to be used in the packaging, distribution and sale of cocaine.

A search of Roman’s bedroom was conducted by Detective Heather Moniz where she located $62,743.00 in cash, a SCCY CPX-2 9mm handgun loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition and a Polymer 80 INC 9mm handgun loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a money counting machine was found.

Dube stated that Roman was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Cocaine over 200 grams, Possession of a Class B controlled substance, Unlawful possession of a firearm without an FID card, Unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm, Unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card, and Unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device.

Assisting with the investigation, which took place under the supervision of Lieutenant Greg Wiley, were Detectives Gary Barboza, Kwin Silva, Richard Aguiar, Edmond Desmarais, Heather Moniz, and Matthew Mendes. Housing Officers Jonathan Ferreria and Eric Bettencourt also assisted.
