On January 21st at approximately 2:00 a.m. Officer Paul McGuire of the Fall River Police Department’s Uniform Division was on patrol in the area of Warren Street when he observed a Nissan travelling in the opposite direction with one head light. Officer McGuire performed a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle. The Nissan was occupied by four occupants, two females in the front and two males in the rear. Officer McGuire made contact with the driver while watching the males in the rear seats. Due to the rear passengers slouching from side to side, he was unable to maintain an eye on them. Officers Peter Cummings, Michael Tetrualt, William Silvia Jr. and Sergeant Brett Kimball responded to assist. For their safety, the rear seat passengers were removed from the vehicle and checked for weapons. As this was done, Officer Cummings observed a clear plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine on the door handle from the side where Tajon J. Saxon, 20 was removed. Inside this plastic bag were nine individually knotted baggies and one larger baggie containing a total of 12.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
Saxon was placed under arrest and charged with Possession with intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Crack)
