Fall River man arrested on child pornography charges
A Fall River man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
According to authorities, Detective Lawrence Ferreira along with Detective Randy DeMello who is a Task Force Member of the Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant at 385 Weetamoe Street.
The target of the search warrant was 39 year old Brent Rainey, Sr. The investigation was led by Detective DeMello of the Taunton Police Department with assistance from The Department of Homeland Security, Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Police Major Crimes Division. The search warrant was specific to searching for child pornography. After execution of the warrant, Rainey was taken into custody and several items of digital evidence were seized for forensic evaluation. Detectives did in fact confirm Rainey’s laptop contained over 66 pieces of evidence related to child pornography and also that he was actively disseminating it.
Rainey Sr of 385 Weetamoe Street was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Dissemination.
