Fall River man arrested in string of Bristol robberies
Police arrested a city man after a string of March robberies in Bristol.
Richard Smith, 21, of 301 Milliken Blvd., was arrested on Thursday after a three week long investigation into a series of motor vehicle thefts that occurred between DeWolf and Ansonia Avenues on March 5th.
A police investigation discovered that a debit card that was stolen in the break-ins, was used in a Cumberland Farms on Metacom Avenue, not far from the police station. Tips from the public and surveillance video from the transaction is what led to Smith’s arrest.
Smith was arrested on the following charges:
One count of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
Three counts of Tampering With a vehicle
Three counts of Larceny Under $1500 From a Motor Vehicle
