Fall River man accused of having intimate relationship with 16-year-old student
A Fall River man is being accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor.
According to police and ABC6, a 35-year-old now former teacher at Rhode Island Nurses Institute Middle College Charter High School in Providence is facing disturbing charges.
Francis Castillo will be charged with three counts of third-degree sexual assault concerning the 16-year-old.
According to court records, Castillo was charged as a fugitive from justice in Fall River with the case being filed on June 13th.
ABC6 stated that on May 2nd the school was made aware of the allegations against Castillo. He was then reported to DCYF, Providence Police, and the Rhode Island Department of Education.
Castillo reportedly no longer works for the school and will be arraigned on Friday morning.
