A Fall River man arrested in June for allegedly attacking an 82-year-old veteran and President Trump supporter had his pre-trial hearing postponed Tuesday.

Aidan Courtright previously faced a dangerousness hearing after being charged with committing a civil rights violation with injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years old, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years old, and vandalizing property.

He was deemed not dangerous and was ordered by the judge to not possess firearms, not conduct in online political activity, and have no contact with the victim or witnesses in the case.

Courtright is accused of forcefully ripping Charlie Chase’s Trump sign then grabbing him by his shirt, knocking his hat off, and throwing him violently to the ground then continuing the attack by kicking him in his ribs and legs with his leather pointed shoes.

On July 18th, Chase allegedly had another unrelated run in for the second time in less than two months.

The pre-trial hearing was mutually postponed to October 6th and then was postponed again yesterday to December 1st.

Yeah, no, seriously. What ever happened to this case? Why is the end not as important as the beginning?

Still going through the channels. No trial yet. All cases have been pushed back quite a bit due to the pandemic.

Hasn’t gone to trial yet. Covid has cases backed up even more than normal.
