Fall River leaps past 11,500 in uptick in COVID-19 cases as more deaths are announced

Fall River saw more cases of COVID-19 announced on Wednesday.

According to the Mayor’s Office, 11,554 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 98 case increase reported since Tuesday.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 increased to 291 as the City saw 2 new fatalities on Wednesday. On Tuesday, 2 deaths were reported. 3 deaths were announced on Friday. 1 new death was announced on Thursday. 3 new deaths were reported on Wednesday. 2 new deaths were reported on the following Tuesday. 4 more deaths were announced on the previous Monday. 1 new death was announced the previous Friday. 4 more deaths were reported on the previous Thursday.

Thursday saw 57 new cases reported. 77 more cases were revealed on Friday. 156 total cases were announced for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. On Tuesday, 152 new cases were announced, 50 of which were tests processed between 1/23 and 2/1 that were not reported earlier due to a technical issue with the state reporting system.
