Automotive Service Advisor/Writer – Empire Ford of New Bedford

Due to Explosive Growth we are looking for another full-time Automotive Service Advisor/Writer with a minimum of 2 years experience.

Job Description:
Will be responsible for setting and preparing for appointments to expedite customer’s service experience; greet customers in a friendly and timely manner; determine the vehicle needs based on customer information, vehicle walk-around and technician’s multi-point inspection.

Requirements:
• Must produce repair orders for customers with transparency including the time and cost of the repair. Communicate with the technicians and parts department to ensure timely completion of work and follow up with customers on the status of the vehicle. Will be required to have Ford product knowledge to effectively assist customers with service maintenance and warranty information.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must thrive in a fast-paced work environment with demonstrated communication and excellent people skills. Must be alert to sales opportunities by taking the time to ask customers questions and provide information about their vehicle. The ideal candidate is dedicated to provide exceptional customer service and display a positive attitude when interacting with customers and employees.
• Must be able to perform basic computer skills and will be trained on how to use our internal system.

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of machines for example, ProtoTRAK DPM and Acu-Rite mills with 3-5 years experience. Deckhand – F/V North Cape, LLC (New Bedford)
Full-time, $3,000.00 /month

All positions wanted to be considered on a freezer boat out of New Bedford, MA. F/V North Cape is a freezer vessel targeting North Atlantic Hagfish (aka Slime Eels). Pay is based off of crew member’s skills and abilities to perform certain tasks. Deckhands/Factory Processors are needed on F/V North Cape.

Crew members work 7 days a week for 12-18 hours per day performing strenuous manual labor without a day off for several weeks at a time.

Processor Job Description:
• Processing eel through factory onboard vessel
• Run various factory fish processing equipment
• Sort eels into totes, case-up and label product into bags
• Load and unload plate freezers, stack product in freezer hold
• Factory clean up as needed throughout the trip and final end of trip clean up
• Offload product and back load supplies onto vessel
• Participate in required safety meetings, safety drills and training
• Quality assurance: All crewmembers must strive to maintain the highest quality of product produced onboard the vessel
• Work well with others
perform any other task asked of vessel captain/mate

Processor Requirements
• Experience in a physically demanding job
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Must be able to do repetitive work for long hours (12-18 Hours per day, 7 days a week)
• Must be available for the full contract period (Approx. up to 14 days)
• Work well with others

Asphalt Laborer – Century Paving & Construction Corp. (Fall River)
Full-Time

Century Paving is seeking to add another experienced Asphalt Paving Crew to the company. Positions include:

• Roller Operator
• Raker
• General Laborer

Crew Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, and travel requirements):
• Perform various paving operations such as: roadways, parking lots, driveways, patching, reclamation, milling, excavation, grading
• Will be responsible for maintenance, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain work sites, grounds and equipment.
• Position Dimensions (i.e., communication skills, planning, teamwork, technical knowledge, leadership, initiative)
• Ensure work site is maintained and that equipment is running properly
• Assist work site foreman with all tasks as needed, follow instructions and perform duties as assigned.
• Safely operate equipment and perform mechanic and general labor duties
• Able to lift up to 70+ pounds
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the work site.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and Monday through Friday including Saturdays as the business requires.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order.
• Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, peers, operators, and customers serviced.
• Use safe practices in all activities.

Experience:
• WORKING WITH ASPHALT: 4 years (Required)
