Housekeeper – HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc.
Per Diem, Part-time

Health First Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of the Community”has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented Per Diem Housekeeper to join our fast-paced team within a growing community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc.provides comprehensive services including medical care, dental care, obstetrics, cardiology and gastroenterology services, health education, health assessment and screenings.

Under the general supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, ensures proper cleanliness, sterilization and appearance of the interior of the building. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all the health center exam rooms, office, restrooms and common areas.

Hours:
• M: 3p-10:30p
• W: 3p-10:30p

Must also be available to cover shifts based on the needs of the department.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
• Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize / organize work flow
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Strong understanding and experience regarding PPE use and disposal
• Experience of cleaning in various conditions, preferably a healthcare setting
• Experience with common housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, etc.
• Willingness to adhere to OSHA, HIPPA, DPH and established HealthFirst policies and procedure

Competencies:
• Projects positive attitude about the department and the health center. Strong understanding of customer service principles as it relates to the healthcare environment
• Ability to maintain an organized work area and work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Must possess an acceptable level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
• Works well under pressure to manage stressful situations
• Ability to multi-task
