Fall River Halloween Drive-In movie postponed

(Fall River, MA- October 29th, 2020)- The Halloween Drive-In Showing of Hocus Pocus at Durfee High School has been postponed indefinitely due to the lingering weather effects of Hurricane Zeta.

Weather conditions forecasted for Friday, October 30th are considered unsuitable for the screen rental company. At and below freezing temperatures also pose a safety and health risk for guests and volunteers alike.

While Mayor Coogan and Re-Creation are disappointed by the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s event, they are dedicated to providing alternative celebrations and planning Covid compliant festivities for holidays to come.

Conversations are underway with the screen rental provider to determine if an alternative Drive-In movie date will be available before the winter.
