Fall River Fire Department sees fire station upgrades thanks to donation
As frontline workers are still exercising bravery amid the Coronavirus pandemic in addition to their normal heroics, local retailer American Freight Furniture and Mattress wanted to say thank you by way of a donation to fire stations across the U.S.
American Freight (formerly Sears Outlet) has supplied new furniture and appliances to the Fall River Fire Department to help improve the station’s living quarters and kitchen.
On Tuesday, June 16th, Fire Chief John Lynch and employees of the Globe Street Fire Station visited American Freight and picked out a new bed and box spring, bed frame, three-door refrigerator, microwave, and a washing machine that will be installed and added to the Globe Street location.
