Fall River Fire Department fights Sunday afternoon fire
The Fall River Fire Department made quick work of a fire on Sunday afternoon.
Just after 2:00 p.m. a call came into dispatch for smoke and fire showing from the 3rd floor of a 3 family home located at 439 Vale Street.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., the 2 alarm fire was knocked down.
According to Captain Furtado, smoke detectors were working in the structure.
While the fire is still under investigation, the initial cause appears to be smoking materials.
Furtado said that the overall damage was ruled at approximately $10,000.
No injuries were reported.
