Fall River Fire Department battles flames, explosion, as fire rips through home
A Fall River home has been destroyed by fire Sunday.
A call came into dispatch at approximately 5:15 p.m. for heavy smoke and flames showing from 528 High Street.
Crews arrived to find flames and smoke on all floors of the 3-story home.
Witnesses stated that they could hear a few bangs or explosions inside the structure as flames shot out from the building.
All occupants escaped from the home and were being aided by the Red Cross.
Fire crews were still battling the blaze into the evening as the fire was deemed knocked down and under control at 8:05 p.m.
