Fall River event catches ire of Red Sox World Series Champion
An event scheduled to take place in Fall River has caused former Boston Red Sox star Curt Schilling to send a series of tweets in objection.
Drag Queen Story Time with Miss. Naomi Chomsky, an event being hosted by Fall River Pride and the Fall River Public Library, is being organized as an engaging event that promotes acceptance as well as, diversity and inclusion within our community.
According to the event description, the event captures the imagination and play of gender fluidity during childhood while providing children with glamorous, positive, and brazenly queer role models. It goes on to state that in safe spaces, children are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can live authentically and most importantly, live pridefully.
While Drag Queen Story Time events have been gaining popularity across the country, public opinion, once the event was released, has been mixed. The former Red Sox pitcher took to twitter to voice his displeasure.
Schilling later tweeted inferring that trying to put a stop to events like this is a possibility.
The event is taking place Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Fall River Public Library
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM Story Time (2 Book Readings)
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM Craft & Photo Time

I think Mr. Schilling should stick to what he knows….playing with old balls.

God, I love seeing Curt Schilling in an irrational rage! Great job, Naomi and Fall River Public Library! Perhaps his complaints will help Drag Story Time get even greater exposure and support. The right-wing nuts down in Atlanta tried to have Drag Story Time cancelled, but our mayor will be attending the next installation to show the city’s support! Go suck on a drag tittie, Curt!
