Published

Maybe you partied a little too hard last night and need a savory breakfast to bring you back to life. Perhaps you just have the day off and want to treat yourself to a cozy meal without the effort and cleanup. Either way, these five diner-style restaurants are sure to hit the spot and keep your wallet happy at the same time. In no particular order:

1. Gina’s Restaurant (950 Wilson Road)

Family owned and run and serving some of the best home style breakfasts with a Portuguese flair. Prices are reasonable and portions are very generous. A hidden gem.

2. Alice’s Diner (2663 S. Main Street)

Right on the Tiverton line and so small, it’s easy to miss. Friendly service is an understatement. Boasting one of the largest gluten-free breakfast menus in the region, the price is right and you’re sure to leave feeling full and happy.

3. Harry’s Restaurant (270 S. Main Street)

4. Dunk n Munch (1393 Rodman Street / 4263 N. Main Street)

Had a wild night? Sometimes, getting out of bed to get breakfast in the morning is too daunting a task and Dunk n Munch gets it. 5. Sheri’s Place (13 N. Main Street)

The words quaint and cozy are perfectly appropriate. Previously located on Bedford Street, they relocated to N. Main in 2016 and haven’t looked back. While they’re only open until 2pm most days (1pm on Saturdays and 12pm on Sundays), Sheri’s opens as early as 6am so early birds can get their breakfast fix. The food is pretty fantastic too but don’t take our word for it, check them out!
