Fall River COVID-19 deaths reach 364, more vaccine clinics announced

Fall River saw more cases of COVID-19 announced on Thursday in the City of Fall River’s weekly report.

According to the Mayor’s Office, 13,666 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 154 case increase reported since last Thursday.

The 154 case count is a decrease from the 181 cases reported the previous week. 209 was reported the week before that.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 increased to 364 as 4 new deaths have been reported since April 15th. 3 deaths were also reported last week.

The Fall River Health and Human Services Department has confirmed vaccination clinics will continue for the second week at the Niagra/Maplewood Senior Center and at Fonseca School. These clinics will administer Pfizer vaccines and are intended to serve Fall River residents only. Individuals must have an appointment to receive a vaccine at these clinics. Residents are reminded that vaccinations are always free of cost and available regardless of insurance. As of April 19th, all residents age 16 and older are eligible for a vaccine.
