Fall River COVID-19 cases continue to climb as city nears 2,600 cases
Fall River saw additional cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s report.
According to the mayor’s office, 2,590 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 54 case increase from Tuesday’s report.
The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.
The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 136.
21 cases were reported on Thursday. Friday saw an increase of 31 cases of the coronavirus. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday combined for 113 cases. 41 additional cases were revealed on Tuesday.
The state can pull back on the city opening, after COVID-19 restrictions were eased, if Fall River is in the red for a third week. The city has been in the red for two weeks and cases continue to increase.
