Fall River connection brings Grammy nominated rapper, actor, to the Scholarship City

Late last week, a Fall River native brought one of the biggest rappers in the game to the Scholarship City.

On October 20th and 21st, a special event took place as popular stylist and designer Jeremy (Jae) Lavoie played host to Grammy nominated celebrity rapper and actor, Dave East.

The dynamic duo explored various notable locations in the area, including La Conquista, where Joshua Downs birthday private event extended a warm welcome.

Cosmopolitan, with host Will Flanagan and team, was another stop on their itinerary. Additionally, the visit featured a meet and greet at Shear Genius Barbershop, with a warm reception from Demetrius Gonsalves and Lou Gonsalves. A noteworthy aspect of the trip was Lavoie’s initiative to invite both students and Dave East’s dedicated fanbase to come and interact with the superstar.

East expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him throughout the visit. The icing on the cake was his opportunity to meet Mayor Coogan, adding a touch of local charm to his memorable visit to Fall River.

East has been featured in several movies and has released several albums as a popular recording artist. East was also nominated for Album of the Year this year for his role in Mary J. Blige’s “Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe)”
