Fall River company breaks ground on 56,000 square foot expansion

Millstone Medical Outsourcing, LLC has broken ground on its new 56,300 square foot facility. The firm has teamed with DiPrete Engineering, RKB Architects, Avid Engineers, Boston Industrial Consulting, and Reflex Lighting to design the freestanding building which will be located at its headquarters at Commerce Park in Fall River, MA. CM&B, Inc. is constructing the building.

The new building will be situated on a vacant parcel, adjacent to Millstone Medical’s existing facility. The vision for the site is to create a campus feel by designing vehicular and pedestrian access between the existing headquarters and the new building. The site plan features 48,000 square feet building footprint with an 8,300 square foot mezzanine, five loading docks, 99 parking spaces, motorcycle parking, bicycle racks, vehicle charging stations, abundant landscaping, and an outdoor patio area for employees.

“This expansion will help Millstone stay ahead of our growth trajectory for the foreseeable future,” said Tom Williams, General Manager of Millstone Medical Outsourcing, LLC. “Developing the lot next to our current facility and creating a campus feel for our employees is an important part of our strategy to attract and retain our team members as we continue to invest in the Fall River area.”

Millstone Medical has been in business since 2004 and provides the medical device industry with post-manufacturing services including: validation and engineering services, advanced mechanical inspection, ultrasonic cleaning and passivation, clean room packaging, non-sterile packaging and comprehensive warehousing.
