Fall River City Council votes in favor of temporarily removing Mayor
The Fall River City Council has voted 8-1 to temporarily remove Mayor Correia from office.
Live in the Fall River City Council Chamber where they are expected to take up a motion to ask for Mayor Correia's resignation or vote to remove him from office.

7 votes were needed to pass the measure.
Councilor Steven Camara was the lone no vote stating that the people should decide and that elected officials are not allowed to ouster elected officials.
The City Council is giving Correia until Friday at 5:00 p.m. to turn over the keys to his office.
Correia is expected to fight the order in court.
