Fall River City Administrator Seth Aitken under unofficial internal investigation

Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan has confirmed with Fall River Reporter that City Administrator Seth Aitken is the subject of an unofficial internal investigation. The City Administrator is considered one of the most powerful positions in Fall River city government and is responsible to the mayor for the proper administration of all City affairs.

After receiving several tips that Seth Aiken was being investigated by the mayor regarding alleged violations of conflict-of-interest laws, we contacted mayor Coogan who confirmed his office was looking into the allegations but would not provide details to what the investigation was related to or when it would be completed. Mayor Coogan stated he would publicly report the findings when the investigation is complete.

After being nominated by Mayor Coogan in 2022, Seth Aitken was unanimous approved to the City Administrator position by the City Council in a 9-0 vote three years ago.
