Fall River Chinese restaurant closing, to become new restaurant

A Chinese buffet in Fall River known for its many options at reasonable prices is closing in the coming days.

The owner’s son told Fall River Reporter that Super Buffet 2000 at 441 Tucker Street is closing to make way for a new restaurant.

Ownership is leasing the nearly 7,000 square foot property. The son wasn’t sure what type of restaurant was headed there other than it isn’t going to be a Chinese Buffet.

The structure was built in 1983 serving hungry folks for decades.

  1. They used to be superb, but they have been steadily losing ground for a while. The last time I was in there it was not very crowded at all, food left a lot to be desired, and for the most part, the food wasn’t even HOT, not even WARM.

  2. Got something food related as an illness from here. I think salmonella from uncooked chicken. Spent a whole two months feeling like i was gonna die and a hospital bill.

  3. Been their many times plenty of good food for a reasonable price .Thank you for being a good establishment for many years .I no longer live in Fall River but hope the next restaurant will be as good or better.Good Luck

  4. Very decent restaurant for the price.
Ate there for years never had a problem. Don’t know her name but very kind waitress.
She is tall thin, long black hair always tied up.
And the lady who brings out food so sweet

  5. I can’t wait to see what’s replacing it. Always drove by, but never looked like it was open for business. After reading the reviews, now I know why!

  6. Can’t believe they lasted that long. Chinese food is rough. But Chinese Buffet.. Forget about it.. Hopefully the new place will be good..
