Fall River back to single digit COVID-19 cases in Saturday report after nursing home spike
Fall River has seen an increase in new cases of COVID-19 Saturday.
The City saw 2 more cases in today’s report, according to the Mayor’s Office. This makes the total in Fall River at 1,612. A report was not issued by the City on Thursday.
The death toll from the coronavirus in Fall River remains at 106 as the City doesn’t receive fatalities on the weekend.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health started reporting both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and deaths dating back to March 1, 2020.
On Saturday, 5 new cases were revealed. Sunday saw 5 new cases. Monday saw no new cases. Tuesday, COVID-19 cases decreased due to corrected addresses. Wednesday revealed 3 additional cases. Thursday and Friday combined for 25 more cases after a nursing home spike.

Closed to the public on Fridays, Weekends, and Holidays
Governor Charlie Baker signed an executive order on May 1, 2020 requiring face coverings in public places where social distancing is not possible. This order is effective May 6, 2020 and will remain in effect until rescinded or until the emergency is terminated.
