Fall River announces Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®
Mayor Jasiel Correia, in conjunction with the City’s Youth Services Coordinator Christian McCloskey, announces March 21st as Absolutely Incredible Kid Day®. Created by Camp Fire USA, one of the nation’s leading youth development organizations, Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® is an annual call to action for adults to write letters of love and support to America’s children and to tell them just how important and special they are. Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® is an opportunity to provide positive reinforcement to a child and to make a difference in his/her life. The goal is to have as many Fall River youth receive as many positive, uplifting letters as possible.
In addition to the letter writing campaign, the winner of the 2018 Youth of the Year Award, sponsored by Partners for a Healthier Community, will be announced on March 21st at 9:00 a.m. at a special ceremony in Diman’s Room 251. The award is designed to recognize and encourage the contributions and excellence of the young people of Fall River who have built their character and competence through the fulfillment of America’s Promises.

• Go out of your way to be mindful in offering extra words of encouragement and admiration to those children throughout the day.
