Another event is coming to Animal Control in Fall River that will help control the cat and dog population.

According to Fall River Animal Control, they will be hosting a voucher day courtesy of the Massachusetts Animal Fund and Animal Rescue League Boston on November 21st.

The ARL’s “Spay Waggin” is working in conjunction with the Mass Animal Fund, Animal Rescue League of Boston, and Animal Control Officers to spay/neuter cats under 5 years old and dogs under 5 years-old/under 55lbs. for free for eligible residents.

To see if you qualify for the free service, sign up at www.mass.gov/how-to/maf-voucher-days

The services are by appointment only.

Spaces for the event are limited.

To qualify for a Mass Animal Fund Voucher for your pet, you must be a low-income resident of Massachusetts. To determine low-income eligibility, they ask for information about if you are receiving state or federal assistance, such as TAFDC, SSI, VS, SNAP, WIC, Section 8, etc. If you are not receiving public assistance, you must provide income information, and you may still qualify if your household income falls 150% below the federal poverty guideline.
