Fall River and Swansea Police arrest man on drug, gun charges after being accused of dealing in the city

Two local police departments combined to arrest one on drug and gun charges.

According to Lt. Gregory Wiley, on March 3rd, members of the Fall River Police Department’s Vice and Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Swansea Police Department, executed two search warrants at the Holiday Inn Express located at 1400 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea.

The targets of the search warrants were Jesus Natal-Hernandez and Widalys Natal-Colon. The lead investigator, Det. Paul Mcguire, had search warrants for their hotel room and for a 2014 Ford Fusion.

During the search the following items were located.

 9mm Taurus PT92 semi-auto handgun,
 loaded 9mm 15 round capacity magazine,
 $1,963.00 US currency
 125 grams of suspected fentanyl.
 .7 grams of suspected crack cocaine

Natal-Hernandez was placed under arrest and charged with Carrying a loaded firearm without a license in public, Possession of a large capacity firearm during a felony, Possession of a large capacity feeding device, Possession to distribute class B drug, Trafficking a class A drug over 100 grams, and Firearm violation with 1 prior violent/drug crime.

Police Chief Jeffrey Cardoza commented, “In this case the Fall River Police were aware that Jesus Natal-Hernandez was bringing drugs into our city while living at the Holiday Inn Express. Subsequently, we worked with our partners in Swansea to end this activity. I commend Det. McGuire and the Swansea Police for helping us take another firearm and a substantial amount of drugs off the street.”
