Ex-boyfriend wanted in death of missing Massachusetts woman shot dead in confrontation with police

The male wanted for questioning in relation to the death of 23-year-oold Mary Anderson, was fatally shot this evening in West Brattleboro, Vt., according to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police.

Matthew Davis, 34, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts was killed during a confrontation with members of the Vermont State Police and the Brattleboro Police Department.

Anderson, who was from Harvard, was reported missing over the weekend. Her body was located inside her truck in Brattleboro, Vt, which had been sought as part of the missing persons investigation.
