Longtime community activist and Flint neighborhood resident Erica Scott-Pacheco will formally pull nomination papers for Mayor on Monday, July 1.

Scott-Pacheco’s family and friends will join her on Monday at Government Center to officially launch her bid to unseat mayor Jasiel Corriea.

With Correia and Scott-Pacheco likely to get the needed signatures and finish the process along with School Committee member Paul Coogan, a preliminary election on September 17th is very likely.

In a statement, Scott-Pacheco expressed that one of her campaign pledges, universal breakfast and lunch for city students was recently implemented.

Scott-Pacheco also expressed her advocacy against unnecessary restrictions on CBD and cannabis products along with her stance against the Invenergy fracked gas plant originally proposed in Burrillville, RI. According to her stances, the rulings went in her favor.

Social justice trendies do no make good community leaders. This is a complete waste of her time and energy. Fall River is on the right track under the leadership of Jasiel, and I’ll bet he gets re-elected to another term. Erica Scott; try taking your battle to Cambridge where pseudo-intellectualism is valued above all else!
