EbLens clothing and shoe retailer closing locations throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut
A Connecticut based urban clothing and shoe retailer is going out of business.
According to multiple reports, EbLens will be closing their 50+ locations over the next two months. Sales have already begun to sell the remaining merchandise and liquidate the company’s assets.
The closures will leave several hundred employees out of work.
Friends Ebner Glooskin and Leonard Seaman started the store chain in New Britain in 1949 and had been acquired by Fidus Investment Corp. and Prospect Hill Growth Partners in July 2017.
EbLens has locations throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut including Fall River, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Pawtucket, Providence, North Providence, Brockton and Randolph.
