Driver to be charged in Friday afternoon rollover in Fall River
Fall River police are charging a driver involved in a rollover in Fall River Friday afternoon.
According to Detective John Robinson, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Uniform Division Officers responded to Popeye’s, at 933 Pleasant Street regarding a rollover crash. Injuries were minor and the operator went to a local hospital for treatment.
Robinson stated that the 43-year-old New Bedford driver cut through the lot in her 2006 Honda CRV to avoid Stafford Square traffic. The driver was apparently moving through the lot at a quick pace when she collided with another vehicle, a 2016 Honda Accord, driven by a 39 year old Fall River woman. also in the lot, causing the New Bedford woman’s vehicle to flip over.
The New Bedford operator will be summoned to court at a later date on Motor Vehicle charges.
